Baby Room

The baby unit offers a flexible daily routine and we work within the framework of the Early Years’ Foundation Stage. The babies join up with the toddlers during certain parts of the day, such as snack and meal times and outdoor play. This helps familiarize your baby with the other areas of the nursery and helps to build their confidence in mixing with larger groups of children.

We believe daily feedback to parents to be extremely important. You will have a verbal report about your baby’s day at nursery when you collect your baby. This report will include information about nappy changes, food intake and sleep. We ask that you provide a supply of nappies for your baby that can be stored in our nappy room.

The staff will continue to observe and assess your child’s development and educational needs. The assessments will be recorded and form a learning journey of your child’s development whilst they are at the nursery.
You will be able to look through your child’s learning journey at any time;likewise you can also discuss any concerns you may have with your child’s key worker.
